Surviving and succeeding

YCF’s seventh annual conference
Slides from the speakers at this event can be downloaded from the Resources section at the foot of this page.
We had a full house in Stirling on 17 September, and the feedback from delegates indicates that once again the YCF conference was seen as an excellent occasion for networking, and for learning about trends in the sector and the views of investors and of the companies which they support, with a little fun thrown in (by Mike Southon) for good measure!
The full day programme included four sessions with knowledgeable industry speakers and six presentations by young company entrepreneurs, a series of workshops for young company delegates, a relaxed sit-down lunch, and plenty of time for meeting other people in the sector, particularly at the networking buffet at the end of the programme.

Sponsors:
We are delighted that Insurance Management Group (IMG) and Catlin UK have agreed to sponsor the event again this year. Following last year’s YCF conference, IMG’s managing director Craig Eason commented as follows:
“It is not often that when you try something new in your business you are instantly pleased with the result. Our decision to support [2008]’s conference with the support of Catlin Insurance was a first undertaking of this nature for IMG. The event and the day exceeded our expectations.”
