Laura is a Professor of Business and Enterprise at Edinburgh Business School.
She leads the entrepreneurship and leadership teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities in the School. Professor Galloway has developed courses and programmes in entrepreneurship & enterprise throughout her career, and has worked at University of Edinburgh, University of the West of Scotland, University of Strathclyde and Heriot-Watt University.
Professor Galloway sits on the cross-party group on Women in Business at the Scottish Parliament and is a trustee on the board of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, the UK’s largest entrepreneurship policy and research body. Her own research focuses on leadership and entrepreneurship in peripheral contexts, both regionally and demographically, including minority entrepreneurship and the role of enterprise in reducing social and economic disadvantage. She also has research interests in the use and impact of ICT in small firms and entrepreneurship.
