Seed Haus invests at the pre-seed stage in “outstanding founders and pre-founders tackling real problems, in large markets”.
Founded by Calum Forsyth, CEO, and Robin Knox, chairman, the initiative was set up to provide a mechanism through which to invest in and support best-in-class early stage founders.
This month Seed Haus is celebrating the one year anniversary of its first tranche of investments.
As part of the celebration, Seed Haus has announced the backing of two new startups: TopDog, gaming platform, and PlayerBase, an esports platform. These investments complement Seed Haus’ portfolio which includes startups working across cyber-security, robotics, IoT, communication, and logistics.
Several of the ten startups from the first two cohorts have raised from both angel and institutional investors allowing them to grow and hire in key roles.
Seed Haus has doubled down on progress to date and is pivoting to a rolling intake of founders in contrast to the cohort approach previously employed. This allows it to deploy capital rapidly, and significantly decrease the time taken to complete investments. Key to this is the introduction of monthly office hours with the Seed Haus investment team. These sessions are open to prospective investee companies and startups can apply directly on the Seed Haus website thisisseedhaus.com.
